So, instead of running back inside to empty it, I just decided to put it on the driveway, and the rain was gonna come to wash it away. But then this liberal asshole, walking around in a mask, knocks on my fucking door, and says not to do that because he's a fucking retard. It's fabric softener. It goes into the water when you use it. It's biodegradable. I didn't dump more than half a bottle. It's wasn't an industrial dumping, so I dunno what this mask-faggot's problem was. The driveway feeds into the stormwater system, which either flows directly to an outlet (river, lake, ocean) or into the groundwater.
The drains in your home feed into the sewage system, which has treatment plants with bacteria specifically designed to break down biodegradable substances in the water before it's released to catchment areas (or you've got a septic tank, which has those bacteria in it).
Pouring it out in the driveway means that the fabric softener is degrading in living animals much higher up the food chain. Pour it down the toilet next time.
Does your washing machine just dump outside too? If it's like everyone else's, the detergent goes down the drain, which ends up at a water treatment plant to be cleaned and purified, or on a septic tank. When you dump things outside, they seep down into people's drinking water wells

theres a difference between sewer and groundwater. In florida the water table is a few feet down. Depends on where you live.
