And while I'm here, fuck Google, fuck Microsoft, and fuck Firefox.
I don't know if you are asking for help to correct the problem you are having with your browser or not...
- "Stopped working" seems to imply that it no longer loads at all when you launch it.
- Or it could mean that the program loads, but that no web pages will connect.
- What you then describe of losing saved login credentials and other information would lead me to suspect that it is loading properly and that you can connect to web pages, but that it seems to be loading a blank/default/guest profile instead of your usual profile. If you installed addon extensions as well and those are not present along with any bookmarks or saved logins, it would support what I noted of it seeming to be loading a default profile instead of your usual one.
If you are asking for help correcting the problem, some details as to what degree it has "stopped working" can be helpful. If it is a case as I described above that it seems to have reverted to a blank/fresh profile, perhaps you accidentally created a new profile or are loading the program as a guest. Try to switch back to your usual profile and then remove the accidentally-created one.
Programs shit their data files all the time. Make regular backups. My FF got hosed a few days ago after a power failure and then when I opened an older version and it screwed everything up. Fortunately had a backup from a few days before.
If BAT is an erc20 token then it's because ethereum fucked up with the Berlin upgrade and messed all kinds of shit up. It might be that. If not idk why
Brave still works for me. Your data should not have been lost. It ought to be still present in your profile. Have you tried reinstalling? What exactly happens when you try to launch Brave?
Your data from brave can be copied to Chrome profile and it should work.
Yes, it was a problem for me too. They don't want us to leave. Well, I tried this. I copied all brave data and paste it inside google chrome data. Warning: first import google chrome data and try this later. 1. Go to C:\Users{username}\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\ 2. Copy all the data inside user data folder 3. Paste it here: C:\Users{username}\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\ 4. Then do the regular steps, go to settings -> profiles -> import browsing data (select all ticks) -> Choose google chrome in the list of browsers
After this, you will find all lat latest Brave data is imported edge successfully

Key word: copied. Make a copy of its settings/data directory so you can start over trying various means of recovery. Don't have one copy you're opening in multiple programs.
