The convenient part about an invisible threat is that if normal people are already convinced of the lies, they will fight you for speaking the truth and the people who made up the lies don’t have to do anything. It’s honorable to stay on the side of the truth, but it won’t be well received since there is no way to dispel the lie in front of them immediately. It is easier to fool someone than to convince them they were fooled.
