Islam oppresses women but islam also oppresses men. Islam is a polygamist society.
When you allow some, usually older males to take “more than their fair share”, it creates huge disparity between males. The only way for males to be reproductively successful is to become more violent or to hoard more resources from other males. It increases male on male violence and reduces egalitarianism between males. Females become commoditized. Islam deals with the increased violence and scarcity of females by encouraging young low status males to wage jihad on non-muslims and steal their women.
Monogamy reduces male on male violence and increases male cooperation with leads to more overall prosperity. Men with one with and one set of children are more attentive as husbands and fathers because they are more invested in them (because he has less of them). The consequence of this is to elevate the status of the female. A single high value female has the power to choose among many males, she tends to choose the more solicitous ones. Monogamy breeds “nice guys”. That is why muslims are so violent after several generations of islam. That is at least partially why africans are so violent.
You could switch to patriarchal polygamy like the islamists, in which females have less power (I assume females are genetically more submissive in muslim countries.)
