Hey, Poal. I followed q like i followed fbianon, congresanon, all those types. Didn't datefag. Got excited about possibilities, followed IPOT1776 (his work on dog is particularly of interest), but didn't read too much into it. Enjoyed the VOAT community. Sad when it was killed, but quickly enjoyed POAL. Now that voat is coming back, i have to tell you... POAL is vastly superior, and I am happy to have a new home. Specifically - the site runs better. Clicking links goes to a new tab. Don't have to constantly log in, and overall better content. That's all I have to say at the moment.

Voat is not back. Anyone who says so is full of shit. Voat sucks. Don’t go searching for a replacement. It doesn’t exist. The old goats have gave up and quit internetting. Even if there was a replacement that goats are flocking to, it’ll just be a honeypot anyway.. Trust the Local glowniggers we have come to love. Poal is the shit. I highly recommend it here.

Reddit also offers that which you ask... Stay away from the crazy goats...

There are already several Voat clones. I don't get the hype.

Voat had a habit of becoming inundated with 2 or 3 current topics that would rule for days on end. I like that we keep it varied here though I have noticed a few memes that get posted every week.

Before we came here en masse, it was quiet. I usually described Poal as Voat on Xanax. I could go through all hot and new in about an hour. There is definitely more of us here now, and I like it here. Enough content, enough assholery, and enough shitposting. It's a good balance.

I agree. It was a shitty Christmas when voat died.

But Poal has more than made up for it. The people running this site seem to do a better job. And there aren't quite as many assholes here. Still plenty. But not quite as many.
