Viruses need to grow in a cell medium. You cant grow a human virus on a fucking tin plate. It need to live off and replicate in something if you are going to culture it. They often grow microbes in Vero cells which were taken from the kidney of a monkey. That is probably the factoid you are repeating.
But you cant culture this or any virus without growing it in a cell medium, its going to be monkey cells or human cells or chicken fetus cells or something else. They all have DNA. The virus only replicates in cells with DNA. Duh.
