Especially for people who live in areas with faggoty gun laws. A high lumen flashlight can be effective at disturbing sight even during the day, then go for the knees (can't stand, can't see, can't fight) A striking bezel is preferred (if you have one try pressing it lightly into your own chest and twisting it). It's not my first choice by any stretch but it certainly should be part of everyone's every day carry.

We used to carry the three D cell maglights for security work. Same one the cops had.

Aircraft aluminum, very bright, water resistant, an excellent tool for breaking skulls, bones, windows and doors.

You don't want to get hit with one.
