Per person
1/2 pound grass fed ground beef,
2 strips of smoked bacon,
1 stick of celery,
1/4 onion,
1 can of tomato soup concentrate, (the just add water soup.)
200 to 300 grams of pasta..
Start to boil water and get ready to make pasta of your choice.
Meanwhile cut the bacon into bite sized chunks or smaller, mix bacon in with the ground beef.
Chop up onions and celery, fry them up in a big pan, (I use an electric frying pan for this,) add in the hamburger and bacon, mix it all up good and fry together until the hamburger is mostly browned. Salt and pepper to taste. Add in the can of tomato soup. Stir it up, reduce the heat a little to get a simmer, put the lid on, and finish the pasta.
Add in your finished pasta, stir it all up, put it on a plate and eat it:)
You can add to this recipe, say some garlic or whatever you like.
I prefer the grass fed beef because the flavor is stronger, and that and the smoked bacon really shine through.
Also, this is a pure energy meal, carbs, plenty of proteins, and animal fats, plus lots of vitamins from the veggies. This will power you for many hours.
And cheap - about $5 Canadian for this full sized serving. (Barely fit all that on a dinner plate, all you can eat with some leftover for later on.)
Cooking time about 15 to 20 minutes.
I usually don't start cooking the pasta until the rest is cooked and simmering in the frying pan. By then the water for the pasta is boiling.
