Why do pharmaceutical companies get to gouge people who need medicines?

Why has Biden allowed insulin costs to skyrocket after Trump lowered them?

Price controls are retarded and high prices exist for a reason: They signal to consumers that goods are scarce and need to be consumed cautiously (do you really need to board up your windows with fresh plywood? Maybe that old sheet of MDF in the garage will do). And they signal to producers and distributors to haul ass to flood the region with as much of the scarce goods as fast as possible.

Suppressing those price signals doesn't stop the shortage, it makes it last longer. Why risk your truck on potentially flooded roads and uncertain gas supplies when there's only the usual prices being paid.

Price controls are necessary when gov allows pharmaceutical manufacturers to sue other pharma manf companies for producing their patented drugs.

obviously the correct answer is to get rid of the gov, unfortunately jews exist

Kinda like stemming the bleeding on an infected wound with a muck poultice though. Jews run the patent courts, the FDA and the patent office.

Or doesn't allow manufacturers to produce the drug without doing a couple years of testing on an identical drug.

It’s just because of envy. When prices spike only a few can afford them. Those who can’t afford the products then feel it is “unfair” that others can so they demand price controls. It doesn’t matter that price controls will hurt everyone, including those who couldn’t afford the initial spiked cost but would be able to afford the product as the market became flooded quite quickly, what matters is “fairness.”

That and honestly it can be a little anti-social. But at the same time it has to be recognised that the costs of running a business do genuinely go up during times of scarcity and disaster, and forbidding them to respond to that is masochistic.

price gouging is technically just supply vs demand played to an extreme. It's a natural rationing mechanism.

Be prepared, don't blame someone else who has taken the time to prepare the supplies that you failed to provide to your family.

Not just pre-prepared supplies.

I remember a story from Katrina, some guy trucked a half-dozen generators in from out West and tried to sell them at inflated prices, was arrested for gouging and the generators were held as evidence and never used in the emergency.

If you allow more people to try to do this, you effectively increase supply and limit how high prices can rise. But if you restrict it, people have to go without... Or those who are above the law and flout the restrictions profit even more.

Natural disaster happens: Hand rubbing intensifies. Jacks up prices on top of peoples already misfortunes. Like a evil villain you see in cartoons.

"The Home Depot was co-founded by Bernard Marcus, Arthur Blank, Ron Brill, and Pat Farrah in 1978."

"Bernard Marcus was born to Russian Jewish immigrant parents"

"Arthur Blank was born to a Jewish family"

Brill is a jewish name.

Farrah seems to be a jewish first name, not surname, though.

you know what they say, never trust a man with two first names

To stop the gas company from price gouging would be socialist! Can't be too socialist now!
