Gee wiz I knew that back in the 1990's when he forced his subpar windows 95 on everyone and the media cheered him on. Back then apple wasn't the darling of the media it is today and every mention of the company was followed with 'they are about to go out of business'.

Part of me wonders why Microsoft even bothered to pay Apple out of bankruptcy. I mean, what was the purpose? The original explanation was to evade anti trust issues being a monopoly, but if they were the sole OS monopoly at the time, would it even matter?
