i think we can all agree the modern world has been fucked up, a potential way to improve things would be by forming communities similar to the Amish but with out the restrictions regarding technology, which where the religion comes in, what should be the founding tenets of this religion, feel free to add comes recommendations, im just spit balling on a whim here, as America and Canada would be the easiest places to achieve this i think it would be smart to stick with a new sect of Christianity

the bible is against mixing of peoples and fabrics, this could be something that is not just continently dismissed

against pesticides, chemical fertilisers, as they destroy the natural cycles of the soil, the god given cycles wink wink

reverence for nature and the animal kingdom, understanding of humans role as Sheppards of the environment

a worshipping of science as a way of gaining a better understanding of the world that god made

you where made in gods image so it is your duty to say in good physical shape for as long as you are able

as god is a creator and you are made in his image you should also be a creator, every member of the community should produce something

no usury, at all, ever, from either end, democratic workers co-ops all of the way

an assault rifle is considered a ceremonial weapon as it is your duty to defend your people from the forces of evil

What’s wrong with the religions of our ancestors?

I’ve been looking into paganism recently, not because I believe but because I want to connect to my roots. The introduction of Christianity wasn’t about god, it was about disconnecting us from our past and heritage.

too much mysticism, most of the teachings have been lost, and it would be harder to convert people to an entirely new religion

also you have history and president in your favour with Christianity, you have some group protection and solidarity too which just makes you harder to target

The natural world is a mysterious and wonderous place, maybe that wonder and appreciation is what’s missing from the world?

And it’s no less mystical than a virgin birth or a Jew doing magic tricks.

Whatever you come up with, if it stops our peoples mythologies and heroes being Jews I’ll get behind it 👍🏻

I doubt that will get any traction. The religious aren't really known to look for bleeding edge theology, and those who aren't religious, well, aren't religious.
