I mean, no I don't really need the remote, and i'm currently actually resting my legs on top of it, because it is enclosed in this wood-looking case to be ornamental and blend in I guess, with temp and fan controls on the front, so it makes a good foot rest too. But I also have a remote that can just sit on my desk beside my keyboard, so obviously I'm going to use that and not have to bend down to adjust it like a peasant.
