For the hell of it I am trying to install Win7 Pro as dual boot and later run a copy in VirtualBox. What a piece of shit software. I had mxLinux installed and running in about 20 minutes with a fast mb with 6-core processor (AMD), 16 GB RAM, and SSD. Slowest part of the whole installation was reading the DVD drive. But not for Win7. I am using a copy acquired years ago and m$$ is being a PITA and now wants the phone call for a new installation code. Utter bullshit. Imagine having to install a driver from the mb DVD for the ethernet card whereas mxLinux never missed a beat and updated a lot of stuff as it installed.
Sometimes we have to try windoze just to remind ourselves of the pain of using windoze.
A phone call? Really? Wow I hope that isn't going to be true for my copy, win7 pro. I reinstalled it about a year ago and didn't have to do that. I do have a legit product key for it and don't have it auto update anything past sp2.
