In celebration of Black History Month I bring you Black Statistics from Canada (torontoist.com)

Despite being only 3% of the Canadian population, African Canadians make up 10% of the Canadian federal prison population.

They also account for 15% of the "use of force" incidents.

Since 2005 the black inmate population has grown by 69%, and it goes up every year.

Statistically, black inmates are more likely to be placed in maximum security detention.

Aboriginal Canadians make up 4.3% of the population and 24.4% of the federal prison population.

However, the growth rate of Aboriginal incarceration is only 50%.

Systemic racism at every level, BLM cries.
