I also eat a lot of southern cooking and don't have a weight problem because of my lifestyle, that's why I included the parents being on tour a lot and not being around to be a good influence on the kids. With the parents not setting a good example, that food will make you balloon up in no time. Granted any large quantity of food will do that, but I have found down home southern style cooking to be a lot sweeter and a lot more fatty.
