right click (or long touch, or some mac incantation)
then View Image... now the image is outside the html scaffold (the 'page')
Two ways will work now... you should have a zoom icon already and a click usually sizes them nicely.
Holding down the ctrl button while scrolling mousewheel up and down will zoom anything and everything. (ctrl+0 to reset this)
