So we've been watching Cobra Kai and enjoying it. We decided to watch all the Karate Kid movies so that our kids can get the references.

It's been fun mostly. Now we have to watch Karate Kid 4... These are the sacrifices that a father makes for his family.

KK 3 really wasn't that bad except for the inexplicable and cheesy villain. He had no clear motivation so it threw the rest of the characters off balance.

Ya, I was watching Cobra Kai with my kids as well, and was pleasantly surprised.

They did a good job of making interesting characters, conflict and rivalry, without demonizing one side as evil.

I watched the first 2 seasons, despite the diversity and I liked it mostly. Tried watching episode 1 of season 3 the other day, and got about halfway through before turning it off. I don't know what it was, but I just wasn't feeling it anymore.

As for the movies, i usually just stop at Karate Kid 1. Kind of pretend there weren't anymore after that.
