My mom got my brother a slingshot when we were kids in NJ. It was illegal, just like ninja stars, so she made sure we had a slingshot and ninja stars. She hated all the stupid laws when we lived there and went out of her way to make sure we still had fun stuff. His slingshot was amazing. It had an arm brace so he could really fling stuff. He killed a bird with it and felt really bad. I don't think he was expecting to hit it.
