The Rpi 400 is a Raspberry pi that's in a keyboard format. It's a 4GB version, and is clocked higher than most Pis available, at 1.8 GHz. The kit includes power adapter, mouse, HDMI cable and boot microSD for $100, which considering you don't have to purchase a case for it isn't bad at all. Unless you want to have a rack full of them or be able to hide them in small places they're perfectly acceptable.

The keyboard on the 400 is lacking. Other than that, it's a great machine. I'd pay $100 for the unit itself if they put a keyboard that wasn't hunt and pound on it.

Thanks for the info, I was considering it, but can't stand a bad keyboard. No review I've read mentioned this

If you're a heavy typist, it's fine. The keys are, to me, one step above rubber chicklet keys. I find myself tiring quickly or missing keys when I try to type at an adult pace.

If you need a machine to set there and do things and provide a quick terminal, it's great. I have one that does yt-download and other things.

For the price, you can plug another keyboard into it and ignore the one it's built into, and that's what I'm planning to do. And for most Pi use you don't use the console, instead you ssh into it.

On second thought, you're right. I do have a couple of PIs around running certain tasks, most of the time I just SSH or VNC to them.

I'm not planning on using the keyboard, lol. It has one fewer USB port on the back, and it's harder to stack boards on it; aside from that it's the same device.

These days I can't stand a bad keyboard. Afraid I have collected a lot of mechanical keyboards cheap from bin stores...
