The RP2040 motor controller was designed using KiCad

Anyone out there ever mess around with KiCad? Haven't tried it yet. How does it compare to Altium/Circuitmaker or Proteus/Ares?

> me either. Nice to see Raspberry Pi getting more involved with robotics stuff

Still using a version of Proteus from 2011 that I couldn't really afford, so I didn't "afford it". On an old 32-bit Win 7 installation. For personal projects. Job makes me use Altium, which I seriously hate. I don't think it's a case of "sticking with the first one I learned," Altium really does suck; constantly cursing at it. If I had to pick one thing do like about Altium, it's the hierarchical schematic design, althought its implementation sucks ass.
