10 MB!? What kind of bloated code is that! WordPerfect and Lotus 123 used to fit on a single 720 KB double density 5.25" floppy! The command.com DOS 6.22 operating system was less than 64 KB. Assembly language FTW!

I do miss the days where the constraints of computing forced programmers to really know their shit, think extremely creatively and optimize the fuck out of their code. I still remember upgrading my HDD from a 40 MB Western Digital to an 80 MB Quantum and thinking I wouldn't be filling that drive for years to come. Nowadays a single potato-quality video file can eat the entire drive. We really did become lazy and reliant on ever increasing resource growth. We need to go back.
