To get my job in IT, i ticked the box asking if i happen to be gay as the recruiter pushed lhe importance of dei multiple times throughout the interview stages. Aside from ticking that box, it was never brought up again but im sure it was used as a gatekeeping metric by the recruitment firm. I thought that sort of question was illegal in Australia but i guess some rules dont apply to some people for some reason.
