I'm all for bringing back soup kitchens of some sort. Maybe at local schools in the evening, you'd have to actual go stand in line to get fed. There would be zero choice in menu. If you're hungry enough you'll eat what they have. We have made public assistance way too easy and without shame. That needs to change.
