Let her know it's not up to her when or who you marry, and you'll let her know what your decision is when the time comes. Meanwhile, you need to decide.
If you ask me, marriage is completely devalued in this society, and not even worth the potential/inevitable divorce-rape most of the time.
True to a large extent, I've always seen a Biblical marriage or Christian marriage to be divorced from the state, hence i always get confused why Christians care so much about the legality aspect of a state that clearly hates them. In this case she wants to wait until marriage, which in and of itself makes no sense since she isn't a virgin anymore. Part of this is fueled by a very deep rooted shame complex caused by her family that has made any sense of self worth or decision making into a crime, hence any time she feels attracted to someone she feels guilty for having those feelings in the first place. She was explaining her dating life, and i felt saddened because some of the guys she dated sound like better people than me
