Drives me insane, i had posted some changes and now theyre gone because one of the devs decided we needed to change EVERYTHING so we can save one file. And then keep doing this over and over again, and theres always some broken kind of issue with something, somewhere. Pisses me off because its just changing stuff to change it, not because it needs to be fixed

How to know your company is run by people under 30.

The worst part is the harness for this crap is cobbled together sheisser so 1/2 times it doesnt run right from the start, its just astounding these people think this stuff should be acceptable

I have seen two extremes. A company whose interface is msdos and companies that change virtually every system on a 5 year rotation and never develop proficiency with anything.

Shit, we've changed our main operational program 4 times in the last 4 years at my work. And it's a small business. We hated the new one so much the employees revolted. Changed back to the last one which works fine and is simple. Owner is still paying for the new one that we don't use, at all, for years because he got sold on a multi-year contract without ever giving the program a trial phase.

It's all extremely frustrating. He gets sold on promises of increased revenue with new programs but can't see the glaring issues. His decisions, lack of actually running his business, and who he puts in upper management. Oh well, I do my job. Not there forever.

Better start from scratch and rewrite it in Rust.
