Just got done with one of my friends ... and i can safely say this person should never be left alone near a gun. so many rules were broken, broke the assumption that a gun is always loaded, didn't bother to point in a safe direction, didn't check the chamber, dry fired into other people. had to take away the guns within minutes because i was about to have a heart attack over their behavior

He probably forgot all four of the rules:

  1. You can guess if a gun is loaded by how heavy it feels.

  2. Shooting people can be illegal but you can often get your way just by pointing.

  3. Don't let your finger ever leave the trigger so you're always ready for action.

  4. If you can't see your target you can shoot at noises.

5 - Don't worry about what's behind your target, it's probably nothing important.

6 - If the gun misfires, look down the barrel to see if it's clogged.

7 - A few strong drinks can improve your aim.

You are both the heroes we need.

dry fired into other people

Anyone who ever does that on my property is getting their face permanently fucked up.

Yeah...that's go directly to the hospital, followed by felony assault and brandishing charges for the dry-firer. And literally any other gun owner will back you up on that and have no idea why dipshit suddenly "fell" down a flight of stairs.

You dont pull the trigger on a friendly no matter how "empty" you think the gun is unless it's one of those plastic training guns AND you've verified about ten times that it's bright orange, not actually a gun, and only shoots a laser pointer.

I imagine their were plenty of warning signs with this friend. Does he claim to be an expert in many other things he clearly has no clue about?

...dry fired into other people...

...shortly learned what "pistol-whipping" meant...

Sounds like you choose shit friends.

yea once i got guns i realized some of my "friends" were not just being funny, but truly retarded, and had to go

This is always good advice because this is not uncommon. I hope your friend was open to polite instruction and teaching. If all went well, you may have saved the life of someone who goes with him in the future when your not there.

They were, they hadn't shot in decades, so didn't remember that range rules don't always apply in a house or a more public location. sure, at the range you point downstream, and you're fine. That is not reflective of how to handle a firearm outside the range though

Hadn't shot in decades? Maybe it was dementia setting in.

I kinda think gun training should be mandatory before you can buy a gun, same for cars, fork lifts and installing gas ovens

Unless those gas ovens are at Auschwitz

What about before speaking in public or posting online, going to church, voting, etc?

You can tell people are stupid when they open their mouth, it's a self correcting system

you don't want to find out they are stupid while they are pointing a loaded gun in your direction

voting should have an IQ test though, America should have gone with "service guarantees citizenship", instead of some of the snowflake equality stuff in the constitution

What happens when the instructor decides he doesn't like you so you get no gun?

[–] 0 pt

then go to another instructor?

would you let a fucktard like Alec Baldwin get a gun when on day one he fails to check it's loaded?

no of course not, you'd kick him out until he pays for a three year course on basic gun safety, while drunk Slavs play Russian roulette with his stupid face

A country that takes owning weapons seriously would make damn sure that everyone was serious about keeping fucktards away from weapons

Shall not be infringed.

I'm surprised he didn't also pour dirt into the muzzle.

[–] 0 pt

If someone dry fired a weapon at me I would leave immediately. If it wasn't a friend I might teach them a lesson.

[–] 0 pt

Yeah, had a little group of frienda that would go shooting together.

2nd or third time out with someome we invited along he ended up getting really high and had poor muzzle control.

Shut it down and don't talk to the guy anymore.
