I hate read bored panda sometimes and this post (yes its a cross post from reddit) just pissed me off so much. The person who wrote this is your typical commie lazy piece of shit. In the comments they literally wrote: I don't strive to be a good worker I strive to do the bare minimum. Sure I have no alliance to the company, if I get a better offer elsewhere I will absolutely take it and not look back, however I still believe hard work pays off.

I've seen a person like this in a workplace, I bet they got a fake ADA accommodation from some doctor that gives those out to anyone who pays enough. The 'Karen' piece is annoying but I bet its not as extreme as they describe it.

Rant over

Allegiance to your company is not necessarily a bad thing. For example, one of my guys got a better offer six or eight months ago and I couldn't match it so he left. About four months later I got paperwork in the mail from the office of unemployment telling me that he had filed a claim and wanting to know why he left my employ. Apparently the company that he had signed on with did not have all the local work they claimed and he spent a lot of days at home not getting paid at all. He called me a few weeks later trying to get his job back and I declined.

There are some cases where it can be true. I've been in the corporate world for a while now and I stay firm with no allegiance. This is mostly because I've been used and abused by the companies I worked for.

The very first company I worked for 8 years tried to frame for fraud. They laid me off, because I refused and told them what they were trying to do was illegal.

Sound's like assholes to me. I would have left too!

It was bad, but it was a great learning experience earlier in my career

The days of blind loyalty to a corporation are over. Those who would sooner replace you with a discount H1-B don't deserve sweating for.

IBS is a disability now? Seriously? So if I can't take a shit today I can claim disability?
