Uhhh, that's a fire about to happen. There is no way this would work.
Not only would all of the metal bits heat up like crazy, you are dropping 220 into something designed for 110. Bad things will happen.
Also, the lack of any strong connection would make for a bunch of fun sparks.

Auto-switching multi-voltage power supplies exist. They are getting more common even. Most can take from 100V up to 240V at 50 or 60 Hz and will automatically work without you doing anything. This isn't the days of linear power supplies that used transformers, bridge rectifiers and output smoothing capacitors. Technology has evolved and switch mode power supplies rule the power supply market now.
