I don't see anything odd. There are no strange optical effects of any kind for me whether I stare in one spot, look around the image, zoom in/out rapidly using CTRL+scroll up/down.

Can anyone explain what scrolling has to do with the image or what strange effect is supposed to be happening please?

Edit: Oh, I guess that is the "joke". It's to troll and get someone to waste time trying to figure out why they see nothing strange and to try to figure out how to get it to 'work'.

Got me. And noted.

Seems my edit was not the case and it is that it requires viewing on a certain device in a certain way and performing a certain action to see the effect.

The optical illusion might be better seen on a phone screen. More so when zoomed in and scrolled.

There's also a joke in there where the guy is trying to build out the pixels by hand to fill the screen.

Thank you very much for noting that there is an effect that can be seen when viewed/interacted with under certain/specific parameters. The alternative which seemed to be the case to me was quite disappointing to see.

You're welcome. You might be able to get a bit of the same effect on a monitor if you just grabbed the sides of the monitor and tilted it around in a circle a bit.

I hear it's more pronounced if you pick the monitor up and shake it around like an etch'a'sketch.
