Point being, there are multi billion dollar efforts in action to prevent people from dieting and exercising.
It is worth criticizing this apparatus and a bit asinine to pretend it doesn't exist.
No one's preventing people from dieting and exercising, people just don't because they don't resist temptation.
Uh huh.
You mean to tell me that the billions of dollars being spent turned the other way... towards propagandizing healthy behaviors... it wouldn't make a difference?
Because that'd be retarded.
You mean like gym class, nutrition classes in school, government programs to encourage healthy diets, commercial gyms that spend millions on advertising, etc... There's a whole fitness industry. Medical recommendations for hypertension, obesity, etc... are diet and exercise, hospitals employ literal nutritionists to get people to eat healthy. Overall that is definitely in the billions of dollars being spent on promoting healthy lifestyles.
