Large thorns will pop tractor tires. Even on larger 100hp+ tractors. Typically people that work in those conditions have them filled with something like Ultrafill. This will seal small holes as the tractor tires get punctured. That tire would not stop a 9mm. Not even close. Ultrafill would most likely not patch it either. Especially if it was shot in the sidewall.
