I don't understand the need to pull out your phone when on you're on the shitter, can people seriously not stand a few minutes alone with their thoughts?

It's frustrating too. There's been a clearly noticeable increase in stalls not being available at truck stops and rest areas (I'm sure other places too) since everyone started owning smart phones. Everybody is sitting in there for half an hour scrolling mindlessly.
