At a certain point in the process I heard a great sucking sound
Incredibly satisfying when a blockage suddenly gives away!
I had a blocked kitchen sink once, and none of the usual tactics would clear it, so I ran the garden hose into the kitchen, detached the plastic pipe from under the sink, put the hose in and sealed with blu-tack. Turned on the hose full, and shortly afterwards, was rewarded by the slobbering, sucking, noise of the blockage suddenly coming loose.
can work for toilets too...wrap tape around the hose end so it doesn't leave black marks on the porcelain, and stuff a towel tightly into the bowl. Feed the hose in as far as possible, and blast that sucker.
Hell, yes! Only problem is the back-blast of sewer-gas. The wife may complain, but to me, it is the sweet smell of suck-cess!
Pack the towel in tightly, and turn on the fart fan, King.
