It looks like you've spent too much on gasoline and groceries this month, citizen. Your purchasing is restricted until the end of the month. Thank you for your cooperation.

You didn't get the latest booster shot? You can't buy any groceries until you do, goy.

You voted for Trump? Your money disappeared and the IRS is auditing you. So sorry, goy.

Millennials are the first generation I can think of that want fewer freedoms and more government control of their lives.

I think those who support a cashless society aren't fully aware of what they're asking for.

They aren't aware of anything not spoon fed to them.

But, but, but person in TV told this is a good think and I must support it (pbs.twimg.com).

Sheeple gonna sheep. Only cataclysm will save us.

And when the supporters of cashless get burned by it they will cry out, "But I didn't mean me!"

How are the glows going to operate the global drug trade without casheeesh?

In a cashless society only criminals will have cash.

You can tell boomer hands wrote this. I am neither in favor or against a cashless society, but being able to stick money in birthday cards is hardly important.

Personally, I find cash to be a pain in the ass to deal with because you have to take it to the bank in person to deposit. I get the argument that without it you would be vulnerable if the government decides to freeze your assets or something but if that is your concern then cash is probably the worst defense against it. Visa gift cards achieve the same purpose if you need emergency spending money and aren't any more traceable since you don't generally have to register them and if you are saving a lot of money out of a bank you are better off buying an asset that increases in value like silver or gold. I honestly can't think of a single important thing that can only be done with cash or even one that is easier to do with cash.

Most people, being stupid, will embrace it

it doesn't mean no garage sales, for example. What it does mean is that every cent of that will be counted towards your income and taxed according. And likely if someone whom bought something from you is on a list, you are now also on a list. Then there's the fucked up trackability. Sell someone a baseball bat then 7 years later they killed someone with it. Guess who sold them the murder weapon which is also now totally tracible.
