FYI for anyone not familiar with Single Action Revolvers, you are ALWAYS supposed to have the gun on an empty chamber because the hammer can cause a round to go off WITHOUT PULLING THE TRIGGER.
This is true about historical firearms as well as authentic reproductions (the likes of which were more than likely in use on this set.)
So, as crazy as it sounds, he could actually be telling the truth.
