Both, has to be part of the 'brand'.

So, I like the old uniforms that both the US and Germany had (back in the 40s), and I like the uniforms the US had from the 90s to about 2000 (the bdu). In that, I am a huge fan of the wool dusters for officers and pea coats for enlisted. I am biased to beret since I earned mine for garrison, and pc or patrol cap for field. I have more ideas, might be best to draft a quartermaster type proposal

Similar to what I have in mind. Woodland is awesome, I still keep mine Croatian one nicely folded in a chest under a bed.
What I would pick for the enlisted uniform is all black - M65 longer one with 4 pockets and a black duty belt, black beret too.
