Profited is the word they use, specifically because it's vague. All of us in some way have "profited" from slavery, to their rationale. If we use 'descendants of slaves' as the payee category, we should use 'descendants of slave traders' as the payer criteria.

I think they use "benefited". Yeah, the language would have to be more precise, but there are just a handful of families who traded slaves, and a handful who had large farms.

It doesn't matter that there was a relative handful of traders involved. Go after descendant of the people who owned the slave ships. I wonder (((what group))) of people that was.

traders would be the (((ship owners))), (((market owners))), and (((financiers))).
