No the Impalas are strictly front wheel drive I believe they are all automatic. The Cobalt was a 5-speed but that was also front wheel drive.

You're really limited on your options now unless you're getting like a Mustang or Camaro you will be looking at an expensive European car. Cadillac has a few too but again those are expensive as hell.
I don't have the space for it now but if I were going to get something sporty like that I probably get a C4 Corvette. You can even get the ZR1 models at a decent price nowadays.
