I'm not sure how I was granted such an amazing gift but last year some fella gifted me two goal zero battery banks. I've been using them pretty much since day one for my refrigerator and other odds and ends. I have a 1500 w and a 3000 w. The 1500 runs the refrigerator and charges off the cigarette lighter. The 3000 watt does 'some' heavy lifting but not really and charges off a solar that I set up every couple of days. I just bought myself a 400 watt little mini push heater which I'm going to plug into the 3000. Should be interesting, I only need it for the hump hours of the day and night before I get into my bed which is like being in Florida in July after about 10 minutes. Getting up for bathroom time isn't a thing either because I take the bed heat with me. I'm hoping that this little 400 watt heater will do what I need it to do. I've seen the Chinese diesel heaters but that involves cutting gigantic holes in the floor which I'm not too keen on and also I used to own a catalytic heater but that thing broke after a year and to fix it they wanted pretty much the same price I paid for it so that's not an option. So now I'm here with a plug-in electric heater.

that looks comfy AF. too many people in my camp for that to be a viable option, but a single person could live it up

That looks like an old dog, God bless him.

Without shore power or propane keeping warm becomes a big challenge. Your power banks need to be charged constantly when using an electric heater. What about an inverter generator or as StabEm suggested a nice little wood burner. They have really small ones made for RVs and tiny homes that you can burn 4" sticks and stuff you pick up off the ground. Some you can use as a cook top.

According to the goal zero I have it will last 7 hours. All I needed for is just to get the morning nip out and for an hour before I go to bed. Once in bed it could be -20 out and I won't feel a thing. I'm not planning on riding out the winter in the cold I'm just in need for the next 2 to 3 weeks. I figured I couldn't go wrong for $9.

Look up Thermo King APU. You can find them used for less than a $1000. They will cook the hell put of you if you want. I have one on the truck.

I wonder what the difficulty of winterizing an RV would be.

Nice, I've seen this. Out and about I saw someone that installed a wood burning stove in their camper van.

It's not difficult. It would just involve me cutting a hole in the floor and installing a diesel heater. I just don't want to drill a hole in the floor. I suppose I could have a window slot fabricated and run it on the outside of my vehicle at night, that could be an option just don't know where I would get that done. I just don't want to drill a hole in the floor I've never thought it a good idea is due to potential leaks

The diesel heater will stink a lot more than a small woodstove, especially if you get one that's catalytic or has secondary burn.
