My neck of the woods.
Next winter? You are not going "camping" where I am.
We left Minnesota on December 13th this year. It's 13° where we're at now. Luckily our RV is somewhat set up for it. The cold still sucks!! It's seams to be a bit more intense this winter.
13?
How much propane do you use? I found a trick that reduces how much I use at night. I turn the thermostat down to about 60, close my bedroom and bathroom door except the bathroom door to the bedroom.
Bathroom and bedroom have vents so both heat the bedroom at night.
Placed a cheap box-fan at the rear pushing the air forward and up. This keeps the air temp up high and low at 60. With out the fan, the thermostat will not cycle in a way that keeps the bedroom at 70-ish. It would go way up and then down.
We do the exact same thing. When it get below freezing we go through about a 30lb tank every 3-4 days. Right now we're hooked up to a 120 gallon tank the RV Park had to offer. They charge 1/2 the price of having a 30 lb tank filled and we don't have to worry if we have to leave for a few days. In case you're wondering.. 30lb tank is $25 or about $3.60/gal. $1.80 for the 120 gal. tank.
