I started this sub to share, gather and explore new & old ideas related to the full-time RV living experience.

I started over a year ago after retiring from the business I had for over 25 year. My wife and I sold, gave away and donated most of our worthless worldly possessions, bought a lightly used RV (5th wheel) a great used pull vehicle and hit the road. So far the adventure has been 90% positive.

I would like to invite any and all people to join in, ask questions or share their experiences in this unique and growing lifestyle.

We do the exact same thing. When it get below freezing we go through about a 30lb tank every 3-4 days. Right now we're hooked up to a 120 gallon tank the RV Park had to offer. They charge 1/2 the price of having a 30 lb tank filled and we don't have to worry if we have to leave for a few days. In case you're wondering.. 30lb tank is $25 or about $3.60/gal. $1.80 for the 120 gal. tank.

WHAT!?!?!?!?

It cost me more to hook up to the local propane co every month than it does to fill my tanks. Yes, the entire area is propane in case you are wondering. No conversion needed to natural gas. Going to fill the tanks that come with the rv every few days gets old fast so I assumed they knew that too and are charging extra for it.

Now I am thinking about getting a 120lb tank if I can get the same deal here.

The propane company comes thru every couple of weeks and tops of the tanks. It's a great service the park offers their long term guests.

I haven't seen anything like that here. This park has tanks hooked up to meters on every lot. I assume they top those tanks off every month or so. I see them walking around, reading the meters.

Nice RV BTW. I like the color but happy mine is white being in AZ.
