Clive Sinclair was a true pioneer in the realms of technology and computing. He gave us so many wonderful things years ahead of those who followed him. His dedication to bringing advanced technology to the people for very reasonable prices created a generation of kids who would lead technology forward for decades. While others worship Steve Jobs blindly, Sir Clive was the real deal. He was a man worthy of being one of the forefathers of general computing technology. I will always be indebted to him for having a Sinclair branded ZX81 computer in 1982 to help propel my future into electronics and programming. He was a truly great White inventor and towering thinker.

Rest in peace, Clive. You gave us so many wonderful things and we were lucky to have you for the time we did.

His computer was for paupers, and held back UK programmers I feel, but the fact that CHESS, yes CHESS fit onto a tiny ZX81 was mind blowing.
