That’s hilarious. I’m surrounded by Armenians in my neighborhood, and they are all related by either blood or marriage. A friend of many years ago, who I have not seen in a decade plus, is an Armenian and he liked to profess that the only person who could wrangle a dime out of the hand of a jew was an Armenian.

I've been to Georgia a couple times and I never heard that saying, nor do I know anything about Armenia. I do appreciate these old sayings from various places though.
