Kindness, like respect, is earned. I will not treat someone kind simply because they exist. They have to give me good reason to deserve kindness just as I have to give them good reason for kindness to come to me in turn. Everything in life should be given by what we give back. That makes a society thrive or fail.
Would courtesy be better? I feel like being courteous is White.

Courtesy is the simple act of me not getting violent with you if I don't know you or your intentions. Take what you will from this.

the only reason you remain is because I haven't decided to the contrary.
That's how I came up, and I still carry it.
I'll just be alert then. That's a good start.
I try to default to kindness first but if it is not shown in kind... You can go and fuck yourself. You do not "Deserve" kindness or respect. It must be earned. If you will not show it as well, I will not show it to you.

Yup. Kindness happens after you get to judge a man by his character and his character is that of goodness.
On a similar note. I try to give one free pass to someone if they show something unkind or bad (based on context, some do NOT get a pass depending on what they do). Everyone has a bad day sometimes. It does not mean that I ignore it. Believe who people are when they are telling you.
I just try to give them a pass if its not something really bad incase it was just not a good day. I have had a lot of bad days in my life and have been given a little leeway so it would be hypocritical for me to not do the same.
Well said.
