Back in the early '90s, there was an ugly girl at my school named Colleen. She called herself a feminist, wasted her time making and putting up "empowering" posters for women around the school etc.
One day she was going around trying to raise money for some bullshit cause, she came right up to me and my group of friends and interrupted us as we were joking around and having a good time. She asked for money, I said "no thanks" and turned back to continue talking with my friends.
She starts shrieking about how "men like you" are responsible for women's suffering and pain.....I cut her off by loudly saying "NO, YOUR UGLINESS IS THE REASON FOR YOUR PAIN AND SUFFERING AND YOU'RE ONLY DOING THIS BULLSHIT TO TRY AND DISTRACT PEOPLE FROM SEEING THAT YOU ARE PISSED OFF BECSUSE NO MAN PAYS ATTENTION TO YOU".
As I was saying it, everyone in the hallway got quiet, and they all heard me say it. She realized this, her eyes welled up, tears flowing, she was so pissed she was choking on her tears and couldn't say anything, just ran off crying. My friends and I laughed a bit and then everyone in the hallway started laughing. Colleen had to run past a sea of people laughing at her.
She wasn't at school the rest of the day (this happened between first and second class). The next day one of our teachers told us that she had transferred to a different school. For the next couple of years for sure (until I graduated) there wasn't even a whisper about feminism unless someone was telling the Colleen story.
That's awesome. I hope Colleen found a better way to deal with her ugliness.
Who knows. That was before the internet, she didn't have any friends so nobody else except her and her parents knows what happened to her.
