I also feel like things don't change. It goes in cycles. Sure the technology is more advanced by our standards but things are inherently the same. Look at the period called the Weimar republic in Germany, it was a degenerate liberal culture fail that led to the second world War. With insight it looked like it planned to fail and provoque shit in the world. It seems like there are a few people at the top who keeps on cooking the same recepe over the years.
