Just pulled this out of his epic novel The Walking Drum.

I highly recommend Louis L'Amour and have learned so much from his novels.

Stephen King is not a good writer, his books are sophomoric drivel. That’s why he sells so many. Most Americans are lazy and ineffectual readers.

And Christie is hard to read because she uses a lot of language that was common then but not today
