Nice cope

It’s all good, food is on the table. Bills are paid. Future is certain. We’re doing fine. Just in case, we have 6 months of food storage, my house is rigged with a transfer switch, I can run the whole place off of a generator. I only keep a few weeks worth of fuel on hand because if it comes down to that, I’m out of here. But for short term power outages I’m set. I just ordered a zombiebox to keep my generator quiet and not disturb my neighbors during a power outage. However, I’ll share some juice with my neighbors if they need it. They are good people.

(I also freely exercise my 2nd amendment recognized rights in case you get any ideas.)

Maybe you'll be able to last 2 to 3 months like that

Remember soviet collapse in 91?

Well same deal. Except this time the west goes soviet collapse, the third world goes mass starvation and mass migrate to the west

You should have bought a sail boat

I actually looked into sailboats. I’ve studied the sea and what it takes to survive there. The sea is an unforgiving bitch. It takes a real tough man to survive on the sea. Boats are demanding and require a lot of maintenance. They need a lot of shore time to keep them seaworthy. I have a huge respect for sailors. That is a tough demanding life. Aviation was more risky but a lot more fun. Hefty respect for sailors.

Read the Patrick O’Brian series of sailing novels. I was hooked and enamored with sailing. But…well read them. The movie “master and commander” doesn’t even come close to the majesty of his novels.
