I live on the west coast, most of the boats are sheltered in harbors and coves. Living aboard a ship is feasible here. But slip rents are very high. The coast of California is littered with so many wrecks. I just can’t imagine sailing my home out for the day and getting rescued by the coast guard the next. I sailed yachts in college, loved it. But, I also realized just how dangerous it was. So I flew airplanes instead, lol. I haven’t ruled out a boat homestead yet, the Sacramento River delta is a large pleasant place.
