Many people only want to fit in somewhere and practice or require apelike mimickry of a belief they've been told is "correct". That's reddit in a nutshell.
Even on poal we see a handful of bandwagon-thinkers who have one or two statements they recite on repeat, although most people on here are more intelligent than redditors by far.
